East Midlands East Maths Hub
East Midlands East Maths Hub aims to transform mathematics education across Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire, supporting teachers and leaders to spread excellent practice, for the benefit of all pupils and students.
The Hub is part of a national network of 40 Hubs across England, coordinated by the National Centre for Excellence in Teaching Mathematics and funded by the Department for Education.
The Maths Hub offers FREE professional development for teachers in state funded schools across all phases, helping them support their pupils to achieve their very best.
We offer programmes that include the following:
- Teaching for Mastery Development programmes for both Primary and Secondary schools including a Mastery Readiness phase at Primary for schools requiring more bespoke support.
- Opportunities for Leadership Development:
- - Primary and Secondary Mastery Specialist Programmes
- - NCETM Accredited PD Lead Programmes (EY, Primary, Secondary, Post-16)
- - NCETM School Development Lead Programmes
- - Secondary Maths Subject Leader Work Group
- - Secondary Maths MAT Lead Work Group
- Specialist Knowledge for Teaching Mathematics programmes to enhance subject knowledge for the following groups of colleagues:
- Teachers (Early Years and Primary)
- Teaching Assistants (Primary)
- Secondary non-specialist maths teachers
- Early Career Teachers (Primary and Secondary)
- Cross-Phase programmes
- - Year 5 to 8 Continuity Work Group
- - Developing Working Partnerships with ITT Providers Programme
- Level 3 (Post 16) Programmes
- Developing A Level Pedagogy
- Developing Core Maths Pedagogy
- Supporting Post-16 GCSE re-sit
