  • North Lincolnshire Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG)
  • The North Lincs Parent Forum, and
  • The Youth Council

 Our Local Offer is the place that provides and directs you to information that will support children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

SEND training opportunities with North East Lincolnshire Council

North East Lincolnshire Council and LEARN SEND Hub are delivering “SEND Training for Middle Leaders”, with courses available to sign up for *now*. The course is suitable for subject leaders, assistant heads, deputy heads and any teacher who is, or aspires to be a middle leader from primary, secondary and specialist settings.

 All places for North East Lincolnshire schools are funded and you can send up to 3 delegates per school.

 The course consists of a 2-day workshop (both days should be attended) and will cover: 

  • Statutory requirements in relation to SEND and the curriculum.
  • Adapting the curriculum for learners with SEND needs.
  • Supporting teachers with SEND students (strategies and evidence-based interventions)
  • Strategies to support specific SEND needs in the classroom.

 The course is facilitated by the Learn SEND Hub.

North East Lincolnshire Council are also running funded training sessions around “how to create effective learning environments” which is a strategy filled workshop, supporting teachers and support staff to maximise their classroom space, teaching resources and wider school environment to support learners with SEND.

 

This course is suitable for classroom teachers, SENCo’s, inclusion staff, TA’s, HLTA’s and school leaders from primary, secondary and specialist settings.

North East Lincolnshire Council have commissioned IPSEA ((IPSEA) Independent Provider of Special Education Advice) to deliver their popular “SEND Law for SENCO’s” webinar for NEL schools and settings. Courses are delivered via Zoom between 09:45 and 15:30 and all resources are provided. We have a small number of places available on the 11th June and, due to the popularity of this offer,  a further course is being delivered on 7th November 2024.
