NASEN
National Association for Special Educational Needs (nasen) – a charitable membership organisation that exists to support and champion those working with, and for, children and young people with SEND and learning differences.
Rooted in research and evidence-informed best practice, our information, training and resources ensure that community members in the UK and across the globe are provided with the most up-to-date knowledge and support required to become effective, inclusive practitioners.
Free resources and support are provided for all members, leading targeted programmes and projects to deliver widespread improvements, offering a structured programme of professional development, accredited training and conferences as well as a package of SEND services throughout the UK and internationally.
Universal SEND Services
This leaflet outlines the various learning journeys available through the programme, starting with the light-touch nature of our Online SEND CPD Units and moving through to longer term projects that require more in depth work.
Online SEND CPD Units
This leaflet outlines the themes of the 20 units that are available. They’re a brilliant starting point for the entire workforce, suitable for any role or career stage within any setting. Because they’re so easy to access, flexible and feel bite-sized, we know that lots of classroom-based teachers and TAs find them really useful, as well as SENCOs and inclusion leads. Over 20,000 units have now been completed, and 99% of users tell us that their confidence in identifying and meeting the needs of their learners has increased.
