What is NATRE?

The National Association of Teachers of RE (NATRE) is the subject teacher association for RE professionals. It works to support those who teach and lead in all schools and institutions and at all stages of their career.

NATRE is run by teachers for teachers and works through its Executive Committee and its Executive Officer. This enables us listen to teachers in that classroom to ensure we are providing support that teachers need on the ground.

We promote, defend, educate and support all RE practitioners. We do this through lobbying government, being a reference point for, and involved in conversations with the DfE and Ofsted, Local Authorities and SACRE’s, telling your stories and experiences and being a voice for all teachers. We’re always here to support you with what you need to deliver excellent RE.
